Leicester City FC’s Manager, Claudio Ranieri described Wilfred Ndidi’s debut against Everton in the FA Cup as “unbelievable”.
The Italian Boss who engineered one of the biggest fairy tale stories in football last year was impressed with the Nigeria International’s display in he 2-1 against the Toffees.
He told the club’s website that , “Ndidi trained just two training sessions with us but played with fantastic personality. He recovered a lot of balls and played well. For 20 years old to make his first game against Everton, it’s unbelievable.”
Ranieri has now set his sights on the next EPL fixture against leaders, Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.
He’s hoping for a win against the Blues , who have only lost 3 matches this season in the EPL and conceded about half the number of goals shipped in by Foxes.
Ndidi , if fit for the game , will likely face former Leicester City midfield stalwart, N’golo Kante and fellow Super Eagles teammate Victor Moses.
“It’s (the win) important if we need a result against Chelsea because there is a good momentum,” he explained. “We won against West Ham, we drew against Middlesbrough and we won here. It’s good,” Ranieri told the club website.
