Supporters Club Get Support For Trip To Russia

Date:

Nigeria Football Supporters Club to travel to Russia for the 2018 World Cup received a boost during the week when the Spiritual Head of Love of Christ Generation Church (Cherubim and Seraphim), London, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, donated some money to the club.

She made the donation, when members of the club led by its President-General Rafiu Ladipo paid her a courtesy visit at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers Ikeja, Lagos. During the visit, she was honoured as mother and matron of the club.

In her acceptance speech, Ajayi described the award as a call to duty which would spur her to do more for humanity and commended the club for finding her worthy to be honoured with the title. She charged members of the club not to relent in their efforts in supporting the national teams.

She described the supporters club as an extension of the national team because their activities on the field of play inspire the team to go for victory.

“I’m overwhelmed by this recognition which shows that whatever one is doing, some people are watching. This award is a call to duty which will spur me to do more for mankind,” she said.

“I also want to say that the supporters club is doing a tremendous job with their melodious songs, inspiring music, dancing, clapping and trumpeting which inspires the team when they play.”
