Nigeria clinched a spot in the semi-finals of the 2023 African Games women’s football event after a resounding 4-0 victory over Senegal in their second group stage encounter on Monday night.

Loveth Edeh, Motunrayo Ezekiel, Chioma Olise, and an own goal from a Senegalese defender were instrumental in Nigeria’s commanding win, propelling them to the next stage of the competition.

Under the guidance of coach Christopher Danjuma, the Falconets demonstrated their prowess by securing a victory in their opening match against Morocco with a 2-0 scoreline last Friday.

They continued their winning streak, overpowering Senegal 4-0, amassing six points and six goals in two games, ultimately claiming the top spot in the group standings.
