Nigerian accredited referee accessor, Abdullahi Alhaji Baba has mentioned that there has been improvements in the officiating standard of the NPFL. Baba also stated that the conduct of teams has been better in comparison to prior years.
Baba further explained that measures placed have helped to checkmate a lot of wrongs.
“The Nigeria NPFL has witnessed tremendous improvement in terms of officiating and even in terms of the conduct of the clubs because the measures put in place have checkmated so many things that have been going on wrongly before”, said the referee accessor
He concluded by saying that hiccups are normal at the beginning of a process, but subsequent operations would be better and well-polished.
And I believe once you start doing something, if you had hiccups in the beginning, by the time you come to do it again another time, you take it up there and you polish it very well”, added Abdullahi.
The 2024/25 NPFL season is set to commence on the 31st of August, with teams already making transfer moves, and training camps and friendly games witnessed across the country.
