Abubakar Bala opens up on why he dumped his former Kwara United after eighteen matches into the season.
Bala joined the Afonja Warriors after falling with the management of his former Niger Tornadoes towards the end of last season.
The Afonja Warriors has failed to be consistent this season despite being one of the sides playing good football in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Bala called if quit with the Ilorin based side after their inspiring home draw with CAF Champions campaigners Lobi Stars last Sunday and the young tactician has opened up on why he has moved on from the team.
“Our result lately is part of it, the atmosphere is not conducive. The welfare of the players is not a priority anymore and it is affecting the performance of the players.
“This is the third month that we have not been paid, no bonus. Even during the match, no feeding, so how can you expect the players to perform.
“I cannot be suffering myself, no payment and looking for money to give players to feed.” He said
