New SS Lazio of Italy signing, Bobby Adekanye may have made the move to Rome against the wishes of officials at his parent club, Liverpool of England, as The Reds are raising dust over the deal.
Footballlive.ng learnt that, rather than smooth sailing for Adekanye into the former club of Stephen Ayodele Makinwa, Seyifunmi Adeleke, Sani Emmanuel and Eddy Ogenyi Onazi, he may find it hard to settle down.
This is sequel to information out of Anfield that that Liverpool’s management were stunned to learn that the youngster had agreed to join Lazio this week.
The Nigerian-born Holland youth international has been tipped for big things by Liverpool’s coaching staff, but he rejected attempts by The Reds to open talks with him over a new deal and his agent, Junior Minguella ignored their calls.
Rather than accede to pressure at Merseyside, Minguella has agreed a deal on Adekanye’s behalf with Lazio, who had first made contact for the attacker in the past month and negotiations quickly accelerated.
However, the development has left Liverpool shocked, as they are still putting together a career plan for the attacker, but now face losing Adekanye to Lazio.
