Bayern Munich of Germany’s Nigerian-born left-back, David Olatokunbo Alaba has confessed that he has strong thoughts about playing for either of Spain’s top two clubs, Barcelona or Real Madrid, before hanging his boots.
Footballlive.ng reports that, although Alaba equally admits that he has an affection for Arsenal of England, as he has been a fan of The Gunners since childhood, his biggest thoughts are on the Spanish Liga Santander.
The Austria international, who also has allegiance to Pakistan and USA, added that he is fully committed to Munich, but admitted anything can happen in the near future and may consider a move abroad.
While stressing that he can imagine himself playing in England or Spain, the versatile star, who has played 335 games in all competitions for The Bavarians and is rated one of Europe’s top left-backs, says that he could well consider one of England’s top clubs, as well as Barca and Real.
Alaba added: “I can imagine trying something else but I really feel very comfortable at Bayern.
“Every year there a new challenges and new objectives and the pressure will always be there.
“I’m happy in Munich but of course I can imagine seeing something else. In Spain it would be the two big clubs, I guess? Real or Barcelona.
“When you’ve been Arsenal fan as a kid you will be one your whole life in some way.”
