Asked to name the best player he has played with, Boateng told Barcelona TV in a Q&A: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic.”

Boateng has played alongside some of the world’s greatest footballers, and Ibrahimovic stands out for the former Ghana international.

Boateng ignored his teammate Messi when asked the question because they have not had enough time on the pitch Barcelona forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has named former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the best player he has ever played with.

The Ghanaian forward joined the Catalans during the January transfer window from Serie A side Sassuolo on a short term deal. Since his winter transfer move to the Camp Nou, Boateng has featured just twice in all competitions – which means he has had limited time with Messi on the pitch.

Boateng and Ibrahimovic both played for AC Milan in the 2010-11 seasons, when the club last won the Italian League title. However, the Ghanaian, according to Daily Star showered encomium on Messi, saying he is the best player “in this world and every world” during his official presentation at the Nou Camp.

Messi has been regarded as one of the best in the modern era after winning five Ballon d’Or awards and helping Barca to a period of huge success.

The 31-year-old became the first player to score 400 La Liga goals after inspiring Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Eibar at Camp Nou earlier this year.

Messi has scored 39 goals in all competitions this campaign, and also stand a chance to win treble when the 2018-19 seasons wraps up this summer. However, the Argentine might be out for some time having picked up an injury in his country’s 3-1 defeat to Venezuela during the last international break.

The former AC Milan forward will replace departed Munir El Haddadi who joined Sevilla in the January window on a permanent deal. The 31-year-old who represented his native country at the 2006 World Cup has scored four goals in 13 appearances for Sassulo this season.
