Italy-based emergent youngster, Victor Kebira Dazumi is set to join the growing number of Nigerian players plying their trade in Turkey, as he has received a summer transfer offer from Bursaspor, who already have a number of his compatriots in their squad.
Bursaspor, who once paid the wages of ex-Super Eagles defender, TayeIsmailaTaiwo, have William Troost-Ekong and ShehuAbdullahi on their cards, while Mikel NdubuisiAgu also played there on loan from FC Porto of Portugal last season, such that Dazumi will surely feel at home should he seal a deal with the club.
He is now set to leave MaerleVenice in the Italian regional league, with high hopes of joining Bursaspor or one of the other top sides that are said to be courting him this summer.
The attacking midfielder, who operates from both sides of the midfield and can also play in the attack, moved to Italy three years ago.
Dazumiplayed the 2015/2016 season with PegoletteCalcio, scoring 12 goals, then moved to Salese AC for the 2016/2017 campaign, during which he hit 15 goals, after which he then linked up with Maerle AC for the past season.
He enjoyed a blistering form last season, such that the left-footed rising star has gained a horde of inquiries from Bursaspor, and chances of the fair-skinned player getting a trial.
A scout in the know about the interest from Bursaspor, ErudFurkri said Dazumi will move to Turkey before the start of the new season.
Furkri declared: “We have closely monitored this lad since we got a hint of his talent. We have watched his video clips and also travelled from Turkey to Italy on two occasions to see him. We are not in doubt that he is a huge talent.
“We are fortunate that not much is known about him given that he plays in a regional league side. More so, he came into Italy not too long.
“We are working out plans to land him in Turkey before the new season and that is after the World Cup.
“Good a thing he is not playing in the World Cup. That gives us ample opportunity to arrange with him after detailed talks and negotiation.
“We are impressed that he will be a big hit in the next couple of years in Turkey. He is quick, skilful and uses both legs. That is the kind of player that excels in the Turkish league. ”
