…Now to the permutations and the calculations
Lets do a quick breakdown of the calculations starting with Alhaji Aminu Maigari’s camp.
Alhaji Aminu Maigari the former NFF president is surrounded by former enemies turned friends over night.
Majority of them are hinging on a last straw to stay relevant in the face kf recent events. Many from the Giwa camp have shifted their loyalty to Maigari in the dead of the last three nights hoping that they can find succour and drink from a cup they once broke
Maigari’s strenght and weaknesses
The former NFF president cannot be underated or discarded. He is a strong grass root politician who is enjoying strong sponsorship from a top senator from the north and a minister of the federal republic. He has done his homework perfectly and has the full support of the executive governor of his state, and former PDP chairman, Alhaji Muazu.
Aminu’s biggest let down is that he goes into Thursday’s polls backed by Otunba Dele Ajayi, a man not enjoying much love from the delegates. Majority.of them dont even want to hear his name becsuse of recent activities.
Unlike Pinnick, who has in Seyi Akinwunmi at trusted trojan and a buddy he can rely on, Maigari will not be able to gather much from his south west brother who definately cannot guarantee him three votes.
