Three Nigerian players of various national teams’ impact were at the weekend hit with various shades of bad news, as Emmanuel Emenike got his contract cancelled at Olympiakos of Greece, Imoh Ezekiel’s transfer to KV Kortjik of Belgium has been delayed by visa hitches and Alhassan Ibrahim (Muazzam) found his move to Maritimo of Portugal falling through.
While Emenike will now have to seek a new club, after injury stopped him from playing a single match on loan to Malaga of Spain last season, the younger ‘Muazzam’ is in a similar dilemma, but Ezekiel is still holding hope for his Belgian deal to materialise.
