Date:

Head coach of Enyimba, Finidi George says his team will keep trying to defend their title and remain in the title race, despite settling for a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Sunshine Stars in Akure last Sunday. The Aba Giants, currently occupy the second spot on the table.

Chidiebere Nnachi’s crucial second-half equalizer saved a point for Enyimba, narrowing the gap between them and league leaders Rangers to just two points.

Finidi said he’s happy with the result and said they will work hard to win the next game at home. He believes in the team’s spirit and says they won’t give up till the end of the season.

“I think after having this one point here, we would build on it and see how we can win at home,” remarked Finidi in remarks published on the club’s official website.

“We will continue to push till the end of the season, Enyimba we don’t give up, so we will see what happens at the end of the day.”

“Others are playing also to see how they can win, I think this one point will go a long way,” Finidi added, acknowledging the collective effort required to navigate the challenges of the season.

Enyimba will host Katsina United in their upcoming fixture on Saturday, aiming to capitalize on home advantage and keep their hope of retaining the title.
