Future Eagles Fail To Retain AYG Soccer Gold

Nigeria’s under-15 national team, Future Eagles failed in their attempt to retain the soccer gold meal of the African Youth Games, as the 2014 champions lost to Morocco in the final.

The tender Eagles were made to settle for AYG 2018 silver after losing 3-1 to their familiar foes in the final on Friday, despite haven beaten the same team during the group stage.

Morocco scored their first goal in the 20th minute and followed it up with a second in the 47th minute.

Though the Nigerian kids reduced the deficit on the hour mark, the Eagles’ efforts were dashed when the North Africans scored in the 68th minute to make it 3-1.
