Defender Brian Idowu silenced his critics on Saturday with an impressive showing for Lokomotiv Moscow in his second outing of the 2018/19 Russian Premier League season, reports Footballlive.ng.
The Nigeria international was a second-half substitute for the Steam Locomotives as they drew 1-1 with CSKA Moscow but his performance when he came on delighted his fans.
Benedikt Hoewedes’s 13th minute effort was canceled out by Fedor Chalov.
Idowu took over from Dmitri Tarasov in the 46th minute and his hardworking performance and passing ability will assure coach Yuri Semin of the Nigerian’s potential.
He was booked in the week 24 game played at the RZD Arena.
The Super Eagles star joined on a free transfer from Russian club Amkar Perm last summer.
