AS Torino of Italy midfielder, Joel Chukwuma Obi is back into reckoning for action in the final round of matches of the Serie A, following his recovery from another bout with injury.
Obi is now among the line of Super Eagles players shaking off injury issues in time to make the 35-man provisional list for the World Cup.
Ahead of Monday’s decision time, when Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr will roll out his list, Obi was named among the match day squad for his Turin-based side, more than three weeks on the sidelines.
Obi was named in their provisional squad for Sunday’s clash against Spal at Stadio Olimpico Grande, after Torino’s coach, Walter Mazzarri selected 23 players for the game and named the former Inter Milan star among the five midfielders on the roster.
This came after Obi appeared at the training ground at Filadelfia on Friday afternoon and continued with his recovery process by undergoing individual training.
