Kevin De Bruyne has hinted at the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia, considering the financial benefits and the appeal of an “exotic adventure” for his wife.
“Saudi Arabia? At my age, you have to be open to everything,” de Bruyne stated. “You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in the last stage of my career, you have to think about that.”
He added, “For my wife, an exotic adventure is okay. I have to think about my future. If I play in Saudi for two years, I’ll be able to earn an incredible amount. Before that, I had to play football for 15 years and I may not even reach that amount yet. You have to think about what that could mean next.”
De Bruyne has a year left in his contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2025, but it’s not stopped the 32 year-old Belgian being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
