Mathematically we are yet not in AFCON – Gernot Rohr.

Date:

It was a tough game, the Libyan players had a good fighting spirit, the didn’t want to lose, having lost 4-0 to the super eagles in Nigeria , the Mediterranean knights were all out to take pound of revenge from the super eagles.

When the Libyans scored a goal, the believed the could actually level up against .

When we conceded the second goal, i was thinking in a tactical direction what can be done to level up our score in terms of making the right changes, which we brought in John Ogu .

He was actually good in giving the long pass from the left side, i communicated with the players to make advancement forward in order for us to get a good result of an outright victory.

Along the line our young team became nervous and lost control of the match, but the equalizer from the Libyan side made Super eagles geared up morally to score the third goal that came from Igalo that gave us the win.

I am so pleased we made it, we are know number one on the group log , we are going to prepare hard for the next match which is against South Africa in November.

From a mathematical analysis we not in AFCON yet, because we still have outstanding matches to play, but earnestly we have a good chance of qualifying.

If we take points from each outstanding game it’s enough for us to grab a straight ticket to the 2019 AFCON.
