Former Akwa United of Uyo midfielder, Alhassan Ibrahim (Muazzam) has found a new opening to hold in Portugal, as he has sealed a deal with CD Nacional, so soon after his earlier link to Maritimo was surprisingly cut short.
‘Muazzam’ appeared to have already sealed a move to Maritimo from Austria Wien, until follow up reports confirmed otherwise, but he will now take consolation in a contract at another Portuguese club.
The former Golden Eaglets and home-based Eagles star joins Nacional on a four-year deal, after the club’s president travelled to Abuja to discuss a deal with the youngster’s parent club, FC Hearts.
Nacional reported that ‘Muazzam,’ who played on loan at Wien last term, will resume full training on Friday.
This is welcome relief for his career, after ‘Muazzam’ was set to join Maritimo but transfer negotiations broke down, thereby allowing Nacional, who are back in the Portuguese top flight, to snap him up.
