The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF ) Disciplinary Committee has dismissed Enyimba’s appeal concerning the forfeited points in their match against Rangers International.
This decision follows Enyimba’s refusal to continue the match after a penalty was awarded to Rangers in the closing stages.
Enyimba was fined N2 million by the NPFL, a decision which the NFF upheld.
The NFF’s memo highlighted several points:
- The Committee upheld the N1 million fine for Enyimba’s failure to control their players, officials, and supporters.
- The N5 million fine for disrupting the live broadcast was overturned due to lack of evidence.
- The N1 million fine for supporters throwing objects was also set aside due to insufficient evidence.
- The 3 points and 3 goals awarded to Rangers were upheld according to Article 13.26 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.
- The N1 million fine for encroachment onto the field was upheld.
- The N2 million fine for the disruption and discontinuation of the match was also upheld according to Article 13.24 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.
These decisions by the NFF are subject to appeal by Enyimba.
