Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City in her 3 – 1 win over bottom team Fulham in the English Premier League on Saturday. Ndidi was on or the entire duration of the game and has been involved in all of Leicester City’s 30 games this season. His compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute.

Super Eagles winger Isaac Success was back in action for Watford FC in the EPL after weeks of being absent due to injury but was unable to save his team as they fell 3 – 1 to defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Success made way for captain Troy Deeney in the 66th minute with the English forward providing the assist for Gerard Delofeu who scored the team’s consolation goal.

Super Eagles midfielder Semi Ajayi was on the receiving end as his team Rotherham United lost 2 – 0 away Sheffield United in the English Championship on Saturday. Rotherham stood no chance in the game after midfielder Will Vaulks was sent off in the 28th minute of the encounter.

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi was in action for Middlesbrough as they lost 2 – 1 at home to 12thplaced Brentford endangering their chances of making the promotion playoffs at the end of the season. The former Chelsea star was shown the yellow card in the 38th minute of the game.

In Spain, Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo was in action for Leganes in her 1 – 0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the La Liga on Saturday. The Nigerian international played all 90 minutes of the encounter that saw Saul Niguez get the only goal of the match in the 50th minute of the second half.

In Germany, Anthony Ujah was in action for Mainz 05 who lost one-nil to Borrusia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga on Saturday. The Nigerian forward was on for 55 minutes of the encounter before being substituted off for Jean Phillippe Mateta.

Nigerian defender Jamilu Collins was in SC Perdaborn’s squad that lost 2 – 1 away to FC Erzgebirge Aue in the German Bundesliga II on Saturday. This was SC Perdaborn’s second successive loss in the league and the third match without a win. German Nigerian forward Emmanuel Edosa Iyo ha scored the team’s first goal and assisted the second as they beat the 10-man Perdaborn.

In France, Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu was a 61st-minute substitute in Bordeaux’s 1 – 1 away draw at Monaco in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.  Colombian Ramadel Falcao scored for the home team while Jimmy Briand scored for the away team.

Nigerian international Chinedu Obasi was the hero for AIK in the Swedish Cup as he scored two extra-time goals in the 98th and 109th minute to help his team qualify to the semi-final of the Svenska Cupen at the expense Osters IF in a fierce game which ended 4 – 2.

In Turkey, Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme was on target as Trabzonspor came from a goal down to beat Akhisar Belediyespor 2 – 1 in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday. The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward scored the team’s equalizer in the 70th minute before midfielder Jose Sosa scored the winner in the 76th minute.

Former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was in action for Fenerbahce as they fell 2 – 1 to a Robinho inspired Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Super Lig. Moses was on for the entire duration of the match.

Nigerian young sensation Funsho Bamgboye was the hero in the Hungarian OTB BANK Liga as he helped Haladas beat Upjest 3 – 2. Bamgboye scored the team’s first goal in the 62nd minute as they came back from two goals down to beat Upjest 3 – 2.
