“I’ve been asked numerous times. People said, you seem to be comfortable in developing and moving forward in the United States. Like, why would you kind of make this sudden turn to where it can be a little bit tricky in Nigeria in terms of getting a job and being able to operate and work?”
“There’s a void definitely in my heart. I really want to make an impression and leave my stamp on football in Nigeria. And I think the experiences that I’ve had over the last so many years, coaching almost 17, 18 years coaching. I think I’m definitely ready to actually give back in a way that they need, just in terms of just rebuilding and the infrastructure and someone that’s been a bit removed from the weeds”
“And can kind of see it from a distance and kind of see what they need. But also understand the culture and know how to adapt and thrive in situations that can also be tricky”
