FC Zurich of Switzerland striker, Stephen Odey has sent words of gratitude to his club’s fans for the support they gave the team last weekend, and for cheering him onto his 13th goal of the season.
After netting his Baker’s Dozen at the weekend, Odey said he was delighted with the feat and equally thrilled that he keeps doing well for his club, but he believes he cannot do it alone without his teammates.
Footballlive.ng can further report that the former Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry (MFM) FC of Lagos lad is also giving thanks to his Zurich-based club’s fans for making it possible.
Odey stated as much after making hay again, as he put Neuchatal Xama to the sword, in helping his side win 2-1 on Sunday night.
The amiable youngster, who was in action for 87 minutes before being replaced, got his side’s match winner in a game that saw the away side take the lead through Pietro Di Nardo in the second half.
Benjamin Kololli equalised for the home side, but Odey hit home his 13th goal and take Zurich to fourth on the log with 33 points, after which he took to social media to celebrate his feat.
Odey stated: “BIG THANKS to the fans for fighting with us till the end of yesterday’s game and I am happy to be on the SC⚽RE sheet for the 13th time this season in all competition for FC Zurich.”
