Head coach of Rangers, Gbenga Ogunbote has expressed his delight after his side drew 0-0 with Niger Tornadoes in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 13 on Sunday.
The Aiteo Cup holders played out a goalless with the Ikon Allah Boys in Minna and Ogunbote told Footballlive.ng that he was proud of his team.
“We all knew how important this game was and picked a good result,” Ogunbote said to Footballlive.ng.
“But we have shown we can compete at this level and get results.
“We’ve now gone two away games without conceding a goal. We must congratulate the players for that.
“I’m very proud of this team and their commitment to taking us forward.
The coach again highlighted the defence, pointing out how they kept the attacking riches of Niger Tornadoes at bay.
“We were superior in defence and their attackers were not comfortable.
“But we must now think of the next game and nothing beyond, and work hard to get more results.”
