Super Eagles midfielder, Ngozi Okobi has promised to always roll out her best performances for the Nigerian team and pledged to lead by example at the ongoing Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.
After starring in the opening defeat against South Africa, Okobi admitted she was happy to play all 90 minutes in the second game against Zambia, but insists she still has to give more to the squad.
Footballllive.ng can report that the Sweden-based attacking midfielder is determined to keep her place in the Falcons’ starting line-up, as she believes the other players look up to her.
The former youth international predicted that they will go all the way to the final and win the trophy, en route to which she vowed to give her best in each game.
Okobi stressed: “I still see us lifting the trophy because that is our aim, as well as qualifying to the World Cup. We are here with the trophy and we have to take it back home.
“Why should we just come to a tournament and play some matches and go back home? It is not possible. I will definitely bring out my best.
“I need to bring out my best, like the real me who makes things happen on the pitch, make the players happy because they believe so much in me. So I need to bring out my all for the team.”
