Ola Aina To Stick With Torino In £9m Option

Date:

AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina is set to stick longer with the club he joined on loan from Chelsea of England, as the Turin-based side are ready to play their £9m option on the star.

Footballlive.ng can report that, hot on the heel of earlier reports that Torino were considering making a bid to keep the Super Eagles star, the Serie A club’s top brass have now consented to the suggestion from their coaching crew.

The London-born Aina has put up strong performances in 20 Serie A games, since arriving at Stadio Olimpico last summer, with his first goal of the league coming in a 1-0 victory last weekend against Udinese.

Subsequently, Aina is bound to stay in Turin beyond this summer, when his initial loan agreement from Stamford Bridge was billed to expire, as Torino are ready to take up the £9m option to sign him in a full contract.

Though the 22-year-old Aina was loaned out repeatedly after struggling to make the cut at Chelsea, he has grown into a key player this season.

He continues to wow fans and pundits alike, with many wondering where his qualitie4s have been all along, such that Torino felt duty bound to approach Chelsea for talks on a possible permanent switch for the dark-skinned lad.

The Serie A club have a permanent deal written into Aina’s season-long loan and Torino have been hugely impressed with his progress.
