Enyimba midfielder Austine Oladapo has disclosed that the People’s Elephant will finish the season strongly despite their recent home draw against Bendel Insurance of Benin last Sunday.

The Usman Abdallah side failed to take advantage of MFM FC defeat to Kwara United in Ilorin, as they played a goalless draw with Benin Arsenal at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

Speaking to www.footballlive.ng on the Club’s aspirations of winning Nigeria Professional Football League champions again, Oladapo said it was unfortunate that his side dropped two points at home , but dismissed the remarks that his side underestimated the visitors.

“I don’t think we did, That’s what people we think but we never underrated Insurance because we know that they are dangerous side and we prepared for the game like any other game, but it was unfortunate we didn’t take all the three points”.

The former Gombe United midfielder stressed further that his side aren’t panicking in the race for the playoff and added that they will surely bounce back to victory in the next game.

“I don’t think is going to affect our title chance, many team will also drop points and i know Enyimba we are definitely going to fight back, Hopefuly in our next game we come back stronger”

Enyimba slipped to third position on the log of NPFL the Group A with 21 points in 14 games , same points as second placed Rangers International with four games in hand.

MFM FC occupy the first position with 23 points from 14 matches.
