Nigeria central defender Kenneth Omeruo played the full throttle in Leganes’ 1-1 draw with Real Madrid on Monday night.

Jonathan Silva’s goal had given Leganes a deserved lead late in the first half, but Karim Benzema drew his side level with his 18th LaLiga goal of the season six minutes after the restart.

Substitute Youssef En-Nesyri thought he had clinched a famous win for Leganes late on, but the offside flag sparred Madrid’s blushes in what was a frustrating outing for the visitors.

Super Eagles rear guard Omeruo didn’t pick up a booking in the La Liga Santander week 32 game that took place at Estadio Municipal de Butarque (Leganés).

Omeruo will be hoping to be at his best element when Leganes travel to relegation-threatened Villarreal next weekend. The Yellow Submarines have in-form Samuel Chukwueze on their books.
