SC Kriens of Switzerland, Sebastian Osigwe has admitted that he is banking on having a run of regular action with the club next season to gain an invitation to the Super Eagles.
The Switzerland-born goalkeeper, who once had an invitation to Nigeria’s under-20 team, Flying Eagles, said he is happy that he has hit good form with Kriens, and hopes to do more and get better.
Osigwe also expressed delight over the recent recognition he got from Kriens, as the club rewarded him for his contributions to the club.
The 24-year-old became the longest serving goalkeeper in the history of the club in the 1. Liga Promotion in Switzerland when he reached the centurion mark in appearances with over 30 clean sheets.
Sebastian played all matches this season, keeping seven clean sheets and looks set to help his team gain promotion as they currently sit top of the log with 54 points.
Though he has represented Switzerland at the U15, 16 and 18 levels, he is determined to play for Nigeria at senior level, having featured for the Flying Eagles in the past.
“It’s a great feeling to be the goalkeeper with most games in history of this club. I will be happier if at the end of the season we get the promotion ticket,” Osigwe declared.
