Nigeria goalkeeper Sebastian Ogenna Osigwe was an unused substitute in SC Kriens’ 2-1 win Rapperswil-Jona in a Swiss Challenge League match at the Stadion Kleinfeld oj Saturday.
Osigwe was hoping to make his 12th league appearance of the season but was second choice to Simon Enzler.
Skumbim Sulejmani opened the scoring for the homers 33 minutes into the first half but Aldin Turkes netted the equaliser few minutes into the second stanza.
Saleh Chihadeh bagged the winner six minutes before the hour mark.
Osigwe is arguably Nigeria’s most consistent goalkeeper in Europe for the last four years, having made over 100 appearances for his Swiss club, SC Kriens.
He had a brief stint with the Flying Eagles of Nigeria during preparation for the U-20 World Cup in Turkey but did not make the final squad to the tournament.
