Our First League point is like a Gold:Toafiq Jibril

Date:

The 20 years old portimonense SC attacker Toafiq Jibril Spoke exclusively to footballlive.com.ng we were hoping for a win against our Portuguese opponent Santa Clara.

The young striker of portimonense SC was thankful to God Having gotten their first point in the Portuguese premier league.

Although it was not a good landing for us because we ended up with a 2-2 draw against Santa Clara in our home.

We have gotten just a one point after losing two matches consecutively , we just have to continue working relentlessly to get three points in the next game.

Watching the game from the bench it was really difficult and Tough match even though i wasn’t played in the match.

I also need to work harder to get more playing time in my club because it is my first time playing for a top flight league and i am quickly adapting to the system, style and pattern of play in the league.

I was happy ,at the same time i was worried because i felt we had the game in our hand before we threw it away after they Equalizer, everything was working perfectly to pick up the three points but all of a sudden there was an equalizer which eventually changed the tone of the game and they grew in confidence as the game progresses which we couldn’t get the winning goal we needed to pick our first three points of the season .

Not withstanding it is our first draw and first point of the season we are hoping for a victory in our next game.

My target is to be a regular starter for the team, i came in as a substitute in the last two matches before this game. Am working harder to make a difference in order to help my club achieve it’s set target by moving forward on the log the former Royal Sporting Academy player concluded.
