Ikorodu City head coach, Bright Ozegbagbei has spoken hailed his team for their emphatic 4-0 win against Giant Brillars, to claim their spot in the NNL super 8. He said he had to work on the player’s psyche and make them understand that there was no room for complacency.
He stated that the job had to be done regardless of their league position, as the right frame of mind keeps the team sharp that way. He also mentioned that the team were aware to finish the season in the same form they started.
In his exact words, he said:
“We had to work on the players psyche, letting them understand that every game counts. We needed to finish the season how we started. So we weren’t going to be, there was no room for complacency, you understand. So the mentality was positive and we had to go all out and do what we had to do. Regardless what position we were in the table, we had to take every game as the same.
So that was how we were able to make sure the players are in the right frame of mind, right physical condition and executed the game against Giant Brillars the way we did”.
