Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medalist, Sadiq Umar is already back in Italy, as he rejoins his parent club, AS Roma, after a stillborn loan deal at Glasgow Rangers of Scotland.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, although Umar had been touted to end the current season on loan at Ibrox from Roma, he has been forced to cut short his stint in the Scottish Premiership because of the growing irrelevant status he had with The Gers.
Despite arriving at Steven Gerrard’s side on a high, with many sweet words trailing him from the manager and hierarchy, Umar’s impact never got to as height during his five-month stay in Glasgow.
However, rather than stick out till January, with expectations of another deal coming his way elsewhere, Umar decided to start his holiday early, and is already back in Rome.
It is now left to be seen what his next step will be, as even Roma has not been a bed of roses for Umar, whose arrival in Italy with Spezia received a whirlwind of reviews.
Sadly, Umar failed to blossom since, such that his promotion to Roma’s main squad was not smooth and the Serie A side deemed that moving to Rangers would be the most suitable opportunity to develop his career with less pressure.
