Former Nigeria under 20 player, Salim Fago Lawal has expressed his delight towards his most recent nomination. Salim was recently nominated for the young player of the year award in the Croatian first division.
Salim recently moved to NK Isra 1961, after staring at the last under 20 world cup in Argentina for Nigeria. The 21 year old revealed that he was happy with the nomination, but it was just the beginning for him.
“The announcement has not been made yet. It’s normal to feel happy. But you realize that you’re not there yet, you know that it’s just the beginning”, said the 21 year old.
He then shared his vision to play in the top leagues in coming years, expressing his faith in his hardwork and God.
“I see myself to be among the best leagues in the world, and i believe that with the amount of hardwork i put in, God’ll crown my efforts. I don’t have a specific club, but i want to play in the top leagues”, Salim said.
