Sane: We are determined to play our game in Lesotho

Date:

Pape Ousmane Sane has told Rangers int fc media specially that he and his team mates would approach the first leg, second round, Total Confederation cup encounter with Lesotho league champions, Bantu F.C on Sunday.

Sane, who is in his seventh season with the ‘Flying Antelopes’ is one of the four foreign imports that made the trip to the land locked Southern African nation, is full of hopes of coming back with at the least a draw.

“No doubt Bantu are the big boys in this encounter having come down from the CAF Champions league but we are determined to play our game and hold our heads high at the end of the game to make the return leg a mere formality,” stated the no nonsense defender.

On the preparations ahead of the crunch encounter, the former Sharks player said, “We have done the much we can, going into this match. Our coaches have pushed us very hard in the past two weeks and that I am sure would help us do the job in Maseru. Like I said earlier, Bantu is not a small side but we are set to play them with respect but certain to achieve our target which is qualifying for the group stage of the competition.”

The lanky, hard-as-a-nail, tough tackling defender is worried that the lack of the NPFL on television is limiting his chances of appearing in the colors of the ‘Teranga Lions’ of Senegal but stated that he was happy carrying out his duties for the Nigerian side and would spill his blood to ensure Rangers International F.C get as far as the finals of the 2018/2019 Total Confederation cup which has been fixed for May 2019.
