Siasia: Lack of structure the bane of the league

Date:

Former Super Eagles gaffer Samson Siasia believes that Nigeria will never get the best out of the league because of lack of good structure in the country.

Siasia who expressed disappointment that Nigerian league is in a steady decline, called on the federal government to help rescue it.
“One issue we have in the league is lack of structure, which downgrades the flavour that it possess,” Siasia told Footballlive.ng.
“We don’t have professionals putting things right. There is no long term plans to make things work. We have a long way to go.”
“The government need to ensure it rescues the Nigerian league. Look at smaller countries like Kenya, Uganda and Zambia they have workable structures. That’s not applicable to us.
He stressed that until Nigerians see the game of football as good business, there will be making no headway.
