Crotone of Italy striker, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo (Simy) has attracted summer transfer interest from another Serie A side, SS Lazio.
‘Simy’ still has a year left on his contract at Crotone, who were relegated on the final day of this past season, but could be joining Eddy Ogenyi Onazi’s former club after the World Cup.
His rush of late goals did not help save modest Crotone from dropping to the lower Serie B, but at least it has alerted top clubs to take notice of what he can do at the club.
“There several top clubs in Serie A like Lazio who want to sign ‘Simy’, but we just have to wait and see what happens after the World Cup. But is almost certain is that he will be staying put in Serie A,” a credible source disclosed.
