Former Nigerian International, Sam Sodje has said that the NFF should not just source for anyone to takeover the national team. The former player said that the national team requires someone who can instantly motivate and impact the team to get results.
“It’s not about doing technical advicer, it’s about bringing the right person. Because right now, the kind of manager that we need, we need manager that will come in now, where the person will give us instant results. Later we can think about it in the long term”, said the former international.
Sodje added that the major ambitions of the federation is to qualify for the AFCON and the World Cup, and not just anyone can achieve that under the circumstances.
“But right now, we need a short-term manager that can motivate these players to be able to give us the instant results, because all our goal is how we can qualify to the next nations cup and especially the World Cup.
So that’s where the technical side of the NFF gets to come in. They need to get the right manager, because we just can’t go and get any manager”, added Sodje.
