U17 AFCONQ: Ex Republic of Benin FA Chief Thrown in Jail over MRI test Scandal

Former Benin FA President Moucharafou Anjorin is cooling his heels in jail for his part in the Country’s age-cheating scandal at the 2018 WAFU B Zone qualifiers in Niger.

Benin Republic have since been disqualified from the qualifying tournament, after 10 out of 20 registered players failed the mandatory MRI tests by the organisers.

 

Several other FA officials and secretariat officials were also suspended after the disqualification according to reports in Benin h/t ScoreNigeria.com

 

Anjorin was arrested by the military police of Agblangandan and detained in Cotonou, according to media reports in the tiny West African State.
