Peter Ubakanma has enthused at the early trust Stanley Eguma has put in him at Rivers United and promised to keep giving maximum effort.
“I always give 100 per cent every day, whether it is just in training or in a friendly,” reflected Peter Ubakanma to Sports247.ng this week.
“The Coach is counting on me. I am very happy and satisfied with the level that I am giving, but I hope to give more. Whenever I work it is with intensity and the Coach is giving me a lot of continuity and confidence and I am trying to take advantage of that, and I hope to continue my streak.”
The Pride of Rivers have drawn one game so far in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this term.
“In the League we have started with many new players, and I think we have to get used to each other a little.
“We have much enthusiasm [for the project], we are stuck a little behind at the moment, but we want to take it forward.
“The goal of the squad is to achieve something big with Rivers United and to take the club as far as possible in all competitions.
“At a personal level, I am trying to help the team, playing or not, I am one more and I will do everything to make the team good and if that is on the field then all the better.”
