Croatia goalkeeper Danijel Subasic saved numerous penalties during the World Cup this summer, but he probably wasn’t expecting to make his most important save to date during the nation’s homecoming ceremony, this week.

12 percent of Croatia’s entire population turned out for the ceremony, but some could have witnessed something terrible when defender Vida slipped on the bus rooftop during the celebrations.
Thankfully though, goalkeeper Subasic used his quick reaction times to remarkably save the 29-year-old from falling from the vehicle. Wow.
Vida embraced the goalkeeper, who was outstanding on numerous occasions at the World Cup, and thanked him for saving him from potentially a nasty injury.
