The youngest coach in the NPFL coach fidelis Ilechukwu spoke with www.footballlive.ng immediately after the second match of Governor Wike Unity Cup in port.
Though it is a pre-season game, to me it is a poor result and outcome for us.
Though our second outing was much better than the first match we played, we are coming up gradually.
A team that almost lost eight starting players, it not going to be easy i know we will gradually find our rhythm of play before the commencement of the league.
In regards to the assessment of the two team that played, i think heartland was much better in performance in the first 45 minutes , they have lots of good players i must say.
Though the have good financial backing ,unlike us who are trying build up to a higher standard.
Concerning my introduction of five new players, it all about confidence, understanding ,i told them they can do it , which falls back to self confidence inculcation.
Though we made much mistakes in the first game, i just need to allow them to play, not putting them Under pressure, knowing fully well they are young players.
The MFM gaffer Fidelis illechukwu concluded by saying if they can play at that best in the pre-season the can do much better in the NPFL.
