After sealing a historic qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, the Madagascar national team were reward by the President of the Island nation, but what the team has done with the largess will blow your mind.
Madagascar qualified as second best team; behind Senegal in Group A, and being the first time to ever reach the Africa Cup of Nations, the Barea were handed a cash reward of Ar 100,000,000 ($29,000 or ₦10,527,000) President Rivo Rakotova.
But rather than keep the money and share among themselves, the players in turn showed appreciation to the fans by donating the entire money to an educational institution.
As per Collins Okinyo [soka25east.com], Madagascar’s national team have donated the entire $29,000 given by President Rivo Rakotova for AFCON qualification to a Polytechnic School in Antananarivo.
