Williams: Warm up crucial for Abia Warriors

Following the club’s 2-0 victory over Delta Force, defender Ubong Williams has stressed on positives noticed in the friendly games played by Abia Warriors.

The full back scored a goal for the Umuahia Warriors in a friendly win against Delta Force.

He says lessons learnt from his team’s warm up matches will be handy for them when the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) resumes.

“We have been showing quality in friendly matches played as we await resumption of the league,” Ubong stated in a brief chat with Footballlive.ng.

“Something is sure, the team has learnt a lot from all the games played in recent times. The experience that we gained will boost our morale in our remaining league games.

Abia Warriors have a difficult week 25 NPFL fixture against Sunshine Stars in Akure.
