Nigerian footballer, Israel Ayuma has revealed that he recently had surgery on his groin injury. Ayuma recently transferred from Mavlon FC based in Lagos, to NK Isra 1961, with his transfer officially announced in August 2023.
The youngster said that he had initially been doing physical therapy, but finally opted to have surgery in Serbia just two weeks ago.
“I have a groin issue. I did surgery two weeks ago, so I’m feeling better a little now. Initially, it was therapy and no scans were done. Sometimes, groin usually takes two weeks. When i did therapy and it did not get better, i had to check other options, that’s why i did surgery in Serbia. Now, I’m better than before. With time, it’ll get better”, said the 18 year old midfielder.
The youngster added that he is not fully on break currently, but has a gym routine for his upper body as he can not sprint currently.
“I have to start, there’s no time as these things could affect contracts. For now, I’ll be doing gym work because i can not run yet. So, I’ll be building upper body and the likes”, Ayuma added.
