Falconets Secure Semifinal Berth with Commanding Victory

Falconets head coach, Chris Danjuma, expressed his delight after his team secured a place in the semifinals of the women’s football event at the African Games 2023.

The Falconets delivered a stellar performance, defeating Senegal 4-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Monday night.

Loveth Edeh opened the scoring on 13 minutes, followed by goals from Motunrayo Ezekiel, an own goal by Aisha Kales, and Chioma Olise. Danjuma commended the team’s relentless pursuit of excellence, emphasizing their commitment to continuous improvement.

With this victory, the Falconets advance to the semifinals and will face the second-place team in Group A in the upcoming stage of the competition.
