Michael Nsien Throws Hat in the Ring for Super Eagles Coaching Role

Nigerian-American Michael Nsien has confidently expressed his desire to fill the void left by Jose Peseiro and become the next head coach of the Super Eagles.

The 43-year-old, currently at the helm of the United States U-19 team, believes he brings a unique perspective, stating, “I am the best of both worlds – as a Nigerian-American, I have a passion for the Super Eagles.”

Nsien stressed his understanding of the responsibilities associated with coaching the national team and highlighted his experience in a top-tier coaching environment with advanced technology and infrastructure.

He aims to bridge the existing gap in Nigerian football and lead the team to a higher level on the global stage, stating, “It’s time to change course and move forward. I want to put smiles on the faces of our people.”
