FC Ifeanyi Ubah ace Charles Okafor is still celebrating Thursday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week nine victory over Elkanemi Warriors.
Emmanuel Ugwuka was the hero as he struck the solitary goal for the Anambra Warriors who pipped the Desert Warriors 1-0 in Nnewi.
“I still have chills from the game,”Okafor told Footballlive.ng. “It was a fantastic afternoon.
“We struggled, we were made to sweat, but we eventually picked the victory.”
Okafor thinks that the key contribution on the night came from the home fans.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the supporters,” added the former Plateau United player to Footballlive.ng.
“They encouraged and charged us up for the entire game. We were able to give our fans an immense joy and we were also able to pick the maximum points.”
