Kano Pillars goalkeeper David Obiazo is happy with competition for the number one gloves at the club.
Obiazo who has been the Pillars number one keeper for three years now, says he does not fear competition.
He says Pillars boast of three top keepers (Obiazo, Isa Danladi and Yusuf Mohammed) who can be called upon to cover the posts.
“It is important to have quality in goal. Danladi Isa brings in that quality. He is a top keeper with experience,” observed Obiazo in an interview with Footballlive.ng.
“Given that Yusuf Mohammed is a top keeper, we must also ensure that we up our game so that we get equal consideration when the first team is named.”
“We support each other. Isa is a good friend and same as Yusuf. Our mission is to help Pillars win more trophies so whoever gets the coach’s backing for a game will always get our support.”
Obiazo has said he will continue working hard to get more playing time.
“I know its not going to be easy to play for a big club like Pillars. I will give my best every other time I am given a chance,” he stated.
