Club legends don’t come any bigger than Kano Pillars star Rabiu Ali.
Ali, who is one of only a handful of one-club players in the Nigeria premier league, is nearing the end of his playing career.
Whilst the Legend’s playing role could be easily filled at the club, his impact both on and off won’t.
Recently, the Nigeria international confirmed to Brila.net that he would be hanging his boots and staying far away from football as part of his retirement plan.
The veteran is expected to play at least one more season with Sai Masu Gida, unless the parties make a u-turn on or before the forthcoming season.
‘I’ve never considered joining another club in the league because Kano is home to me and when I’m retired; sooner or later, I have o intention of coming back as Management.
‘My life after football is away from football. I’m a business man and that is what I’ll be doing,’ the midfielder explained.
