We are test running to put the team in shape ahead of the new season – Coach Bernard Ogbe.

Date:

Niger Tornadoes edged out Rarara fc by 2 goals to nil. Speaking after the game is the one of the long serving coach in Nigeria Bernard Ogbe.

Every game played is about winning which we are not an exception to that philosophy as regards to our game against Rarara Fc.

Even though we were not at our best, but we are still grateful to God that we won by 2 goals margin.

Part of our ineffective performance in the game ,was because we have not had good friendly matches to test run the team before coming for the Ahlan Cup competition.

Our participation in the Ahlan pre-season Is more like a test run to sharpen the team.

I must commend the boys for their good effort for giving a good account of themselves despite the lack of friendly matches to play.

Our target is to build a formidable team for the new season ahead, so we are using this medium to achieve that, we are not particularly keen about winning the tournament per say.

We want to see the effort of the work we have being putting together ever since the commencement of preparation for the new season and how it’s going to look like in real league matches situation.

This tournament provides a very good forum for us, we are looking at the team and we hope to continue to build up efficiently from what we have seen so far.
